The Bachelor of Health Studies at the University of Regina is a collaborative program administered by the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies, and the First Nations University of Canada. The program focuses on the social, psychological, Indigenous, and biological determinants of health. Students gain tools to evaluate health-related theory, research, and policy, preparing for careers in policy development, health promotion, management, and programming. The curriculum offers electives and the option to focus on Indigenous Health and Well-Being. Experiential learning is embedded through a 15-week, full-time fieldwork placement, and the program provides pathways towards further study in medicine or allied health professions. Courses cover topics such as Indigenous Health, Health and Illness, and Health in Canada.
