The Bachelor of Kinesiology (Human Kinetics) program at the University of Regina focuses on the scientific study of movement, exercise, and its effects on health and performance. Core topics include anatomy, physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, movement behaviour, and exercise psychology. The curriculum emphasizes individual and community programming, exercise rehabilitation, health promotion, and disability assessment. Students can choose between concentrations in High Performance or Adaptation and Rehabilitation. The program features a hands-on, 15-week, full-time fieldwork placement, providing practical experience prior to graduation—an uncommon offering for undergraduate kinesiology degrees in Canada. Graduates are prepared for careers in physical fitness appraisal, exercise rehabilitation, wellness counselling, strength and conditioning, and may pursue advanced studies in therapy or medicine.
