The Master of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering at the University of Waterloo is a two-year, research-based graduate program offered collaboratively by the Faculty of Engineering (departments include Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, and Systems Design Engineering) and the Faculty of Science. The program provides advanced study and original research opportunities in areas such as nanomaterials, nanoelectronics, nanobiosystems, nanofabrication, and related interdisciplinary fields, supported by cutting-edge lab facilities including the Quantum-Nano Centre. Students complete core nanotechnology courses, seminars, and pursue a research thesis under the supervision of expert faculty, preparing for high-impact careers in industry, government, or academia, or further doctoral study.
