The Master of Health Informatics and Analytics at the University of Waterloo's Faculty of Health, School of Public Health Sciences prepares professionals to design, implement, and manage informatics solutions using digital and AI technologies within public health and healthcare settings. This fully online program offers both full-time (16 months) and part-time (up to 48 months) pathways. Students select a specialization in either Health Informatics or Advanced Analytics. Both tracks emphasize practical training, including a four-month experiential practicum in a health or public health setting, and courses in data science, database management, health IT, ethical/legal issues, and leadership. The curriculum is designed for students with backgrounds in health, public health, or a related field, and equips graduates for roles in digital health transformation, clinical informatics, or health analytics.
