The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Health immerses students in the scientific study of human movement and body function. The program covers a broad range of topics including anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, neuroscience, and nutrition, integrating both classroom theory and hands-on lab experience—such as human cadaver labs, available to first-year students. Experiential education is core, offering options like co-op placements, the EDGE certificate, and research opportunities. The program supports flexible course choices, allowing minors and specializations within and beyond Kinesiology, including Ergonomics and Injury Prevention, Human Nutrition, Medical Physiology, Rehabilitation Sciences, and Neuroscience. Grads are well-prepared for careers in kinesiology, allied health, therapy, or for further study in medicine or physiotherapy.
