The Bachelor of Sustainability and Financial Management (BSFM) at the University of Waterloo's Faculty of Environment integrates financial management with sustainability to train students as finance professionals with a purposeful understanding of environmental and social impacts. Students develop expertise in accounting, financial analysis, policy, and green entrepreneurship. The program is co-op only, blending classroom learning with 16 months of paid industry work. After the second year, students can specialize in tracks like Corporate Sustainability, Government Policy & Financial Markets, or Indigenous Entrepreneurship. Graduates are prepared for careers as accountants, analysts, consultants, and can pursue designations such as CPA or CFA.
