The Master of Science (Chemistry) at the University of Guelph, within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, is a research-focused graduate program conducted through the Guelph-Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry and Biochemistry (GWC2). This interdisciplinary centre offers opportunities for research and thesis in major fields of chemistry, supported by faculty and resources from both Guelph and Waterloo campuses. The program emphasizes original research, advanced coursework in specific chemistry fields, and participation in an active academic research community. Collaborative and course-based options exist, although the course-based MSc option is currently suspended as of 2025. The program prepares graduates for careers in academia, industry, and government.
