The Bachelor of Arts in Culture and Technology Studies (CTS) at the College of Arts, University of Guelph, offers students a multidisciplinary approach to exploring the role of technology in human society, culture, and creativity. The program combines arts and humanities with hands-on digital skills, enabling students to analyze and intervene in cultural processes using storytelling, visualization, gaming, and publishing tools. Students choose an area of emphasis—Power, Identities & Equity; Performance, Making & Design; or Storytelling & Public Humanities—and gain experience in digital project management, creation, and ethical critical thinking. The flexible curriculum includes required credits in core CTS courses, disciplinary praxis/context courses, and broad electives. Graduates pursue careers in education, digital media, communications, non-profit, government, and more. The co-op stream integrates academic studies with paid work experiences.
