The University of Guelph Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering is a hands-on undergraduate program blending engineering design and life sciences to address medical challenges and improve human health. Students study anatomy, physiology, pathology, electronics, mechanics, and computer science. The curriculum examines biosystems across scales and offers elective concentrations in biomechanics, biosignal processing, and pharmaceuticals or broadens training via electives. The Co-op option includes 20 months of paid work experience over 5 years, preparing graduates for careers in medical innovation, device development, or further study such as medical school. Accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board, the degree fulfills educational requirements for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure in Canada.
