The Engineering Systems and Computing program at the University of Guelph focuses on designing integrated, computer-based engineering systems. It is the only program of its kind in Canada, covering both hardware and software design, including key topics such as mechatronic system design, embedded and real-time systems, digital process control, and bio-instrumentation. Students develop strong problem-solving, teamwork, and hands-on design skills through a curriculum that integrates interdisciplinary design projects and co-op opportunities. The co-op stream incorporates five work terms, preparing students for professional engineering careers immediately after graduation in areas such as IT, automation, robotics, and more.
