The University of Guelph's Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering, launching Fall 2025, is a highly interdisciplinary undergraduate program combining mechanical, electrical, computer, and biomedical engineering with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The curriculum prepares students for designing intelligent systems such as smart devices, autonomous vehicles, medical technologies, and automated agricultural systems. Students can further specialize in Robotics-Control-AI or Manufacturing-Automation. The program includes an industry-connected co-op track and aims at preparing graduates for diverse industries, notably those integrating automation, robotics, and intelligent systems.
